Matt Schroeder

Matt Schroeder is a poet, educator, and MFA candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University. His poetry appears in Gulf Coast, RHINO, Arts & Letters, Poet Lore, Grist, and he won the 2026 Gearhart Poetry Prize from The Southeast Review. He has served as managing editor for Blackbird and is coordinator for the Levis Reading Prize.
