Jonathan Chan

Jonathan Chan is a writer, editor, and translator of poems and essays. He is the author of the collections going home and bright sorrow (Landmark, 2022 and 2025), the former of which was shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize 2024. He serves as Managing Editor of poetry.sg, poetry and creative nonfiction editor for the Journal of Practice, Research and Tangential Activities (PR&TA) and Poetry Editor for The Plentitudes. Born in New York to a Malaysian father and South Korean mother, he was educated at Cambridge and Yale and raised in Singapore, where he lives and works.
