Helen Han Wei Luo

Helen Han Wei Luo is a Chinese-Canadian writer from Vancouver, currently pursuing her PhD in philosophy at Columbia University. Her academic research concerns issues of social normativity within morality, and specifically centers the relationship between ethics and etiquette. Her poetry appears in PRISM International, Sam-Fifty-Four, and Cloud Lake Literary. Her short story "Eel Broth for Growing Children" is a finalist for the 2023 CBC Literary Prize. She is currently working on a radical feminist novella retelling Han dynasty Chinese mythology, titled ‘Elegy for Daji’.
